Dine børn skal have mulighed for et aktivt fritidsliv, ligesom alle andre børn, også selvom du modtager kontanthjælp. Derfor kan du ud over kontanthjælpen få et fritidstillæg, så der f.eks. bliver råd til, at dine børn kan gå til fodbold, tage biografen og få en ny skoletaske. Du kan få fritidstillæg, hvis du har forsørgelsespligt, over et eller flere børn, som har bopæl på din adresse. Du kan højst få udbetalt fritidstillæg til tre børn. Fritidstillæg kan bruges til fritidstilbud, f.eks. sportsaktiviteter og udstyr eller beklædning i den forbindelse, kulturtilbud for børn, f.eks. biograf, teater, museum, mv., sociale og faglige arrangementer i forbindelse med skole, dag og fritidstillbud, f.eks. skolekoloni, studieture, mv., udstyr til uddannelse, herunder f.eks. skoletaske, computer, mv.. Fritidstillægget er skattefrit og udgør 450 kr. pr. barn pr. måned i 2025. Hvis du har ret til tillæg som enlig forsørger, har du allerede i dag mulighed for at modtage et børnetilskud, som kan dække nogle af de samme udgifter som fritidstillægget. Derfor bliver fritidstillægget reduceret til en fjerdedel. I 2025 svarer det til 112 kr. pr. måned pr. barn. Når du har modtaget kontanthjælp i tre måneder, udbetales fritidstillægget automatisk sammen med ydelsen. Du skal dokumentere, at minimum en tredjedel af det udbetalte beløb er brugt til enten fritidsaktiviteter, kulturtilbud, sociale skole- og institutionsarrangementer eller udstyr til uddannelse. Det er selvfølgelig stadig meningen, at du skal bruge hele fritidstillægget på dit barns fritidsliv, men det åbner op for, at du f.eks. kan købe brugt udstyr. For hver gang du har modtaget fritidstillægget i tre måneder, skal du aflevere dokumentation for minimum en tredjedel af beløbet. Du kan se dine frister for at indsende dokumentation i vores selvbetjeningssystem. Det er også i selvbetjeningssystemet, du kan indsende dokumentationen, og du kan se i en anden film, hvordan du gør.
